Phew. I´m still alive.
I haven´t updated in a while, so there´s like million and ten things I really want to write, lol. I doubt I can write all of them thou, I´m so fucking tired and stressed right now...
Ah, but how about that World Cup of Hockey final then? What an amazing game. I´m not too happy with the outcome, naturally, but VERY proud to be a Finnish hockey fan. The Lions showed once again, how much heart they got; they tied the game twise and played with true sisu! I love them so much. Just thinking about it makes me emotional... Maybe this sappy music I´m listening helps, thou, lol.
Did ya all catch that purely amazing goal by Tuomo Ruutu?! Damn that guy is good! Hehe, guess who owns his Fanlisting...? ^_^ I disagree with the Canadian(?) announcer who said that he was "allowed to walk in there". He wasn´t - he just outplayed the whole Canadian D (including the 'best' D-man and goalie in the league...) and showed just how truly talented he is. He´s the next Foppa, I tell you.
Too bad it had to end this way to us. The Lions would´ve deserved the victory. Well, I sure hope they atleast earned some respect... I was heart-broken again, when I watched them leave the arena with their heads down. I hope they have already realized how BIG this is for all of us fans back here and that they did great job!
I´m honestly not bitter, because I know Canada is a country where they respect hockey - just like Finland. I would´ve just wanted the Lions to win something big to retain their confident. Plus they have all worked so hard for this... But life is unfair sometimes.

^ That´s just something I made while practising my graphic-skills...
Lock-out, eh? I can´t believe that a group of grown ups couldn´t compromise in a situation like this. I dunno who to support in here thou... NHLPA and NHL have both so huge egos that I really don´t wonder why this went so far. Damn them both. If I weren´t so in love with hockey, I´d boicot NHL. And I have my own, very good reasons for that. Well, now I´m more gratefull of The Finnish Elite League than ever! :) I know we don´t have as much NHL players than Elitserien etc., but we have our young (and not so young, lol) talents and it´s interesting to watch them play for a change. Haha, HPK (the hockey club of the city that I study in) has won all of their games. Very cool. The next time they play against Pelicans (Nurminen!), Kärpät, HIFK or Jokerit at their home - I will be there.
Speaking of Nurminen... I´m liking the guy more and more all the time. I´ve been a fan of his since his first Jokerit-years, but I never knew how rough his childhood/yout was... He said in an interview, that without hockey, he´d be in prison. =/ But luckily his wife and hockey kept him going. And look where he is now! That guy is amazing. He wants to help his former team Pelicans for playing for them - free. Yeah, I love him too. I wish I could tell him how much I respect and support him... Maybe someday I´ll meet him and I can. (I´m an optimistic.)
Hmmh, what else? Gah, my schedule for school is grazy. Next four weeks; from 8am to 4pm. -_- Good thing it´s not all sewing thou... I would go grazy, cuz I´m having though time already. But that´s because of my teacher. I don´t like her a one bit. But I´m not gonna go over there and spoil my weekend. Weekend! Oh yay... I get to sleep in my own bed(s, if you count my both homes), stay up all night and surf in the net (like now, lol... It´s 3.30am). But now I´m going to bed... I´m SO tired. *yawn*
xoxo Jasmin
